What is Amazon and how does it work for sellers?
Amazon is one of the world's largest online marketplaces. In Türkiye you can sell through Amazon.com.tr, and Turkish sellers can also sell in international Amazon stores such as the US and Europe. Sellers manage their accounts through the Seller Central panel. For sellers and software developers, Amazon offers a seller API called the Selling Partner API (SP-API).
An Amazon integration uses this interface to connect the product, stock, price and order flow to your ERP, your own site and your other marketplaces. Especially for companies selling in more than one country, it keeps the channels from running blind to one another.
Amazon's rules differ from those of other marketplaces: product pages are often shared between sellers, several sellers make offers on the same product, and account health indicators (late shipments, cancellation rate and so on) are closely monitored. That is why sending stock and shipment information on time and accurately on Amazon matters not only for operational convenience but also for the health of your account.
What do we connect with Amazon?
| Data | Direction | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Product data and listings | ERP / IMFLEXI → Amazon | When a product is created or changed |
| Stock quantity (shipping from your own warehouse) | ERP → Amazon | At short intervals |
| Price (by marketplace and currency) | ERP / pricing rule → Amazon | On change |
| Order | Amazon → ERP | At short intervals |
| Shipment and tracking details | ERP / carrier → Amazon | When the shipment is created |
| Returns | Amazon → ERP | When they occur |
| Account statement, fees and payouts | Amazon → accounting / reports | Periodically |
For sellers using Amazon's own logistics, stock sits in Amazon's warehouses; in that case, instead of sending stock, the integration reads the stock and sales on Amazon and reflects them in the ERP. We clarify which model you work with in the initial analysis.
Typical scenarios
- A brand starting with Amazon.com.tr: Stock is shared with your own site and Turkish marketplaces such as Trendyol and Hepsiburada, and orders land in the ERP.
- International Amazon store: Foreign currency prices are calculated from the ERP price using an exchange rate and channel rule; orders are transferred to the ERP according to your export process. For international shipping, a connection can be set up with a carrier such as UPS.
- Reconciliation: Amazon's periodic payout reports are compared with sales; commissions and fees are turned into a summary your accounting team can read.
Amazon with IMFLEXI
IMFLEXI is our e-commerce platform that supports multiple languages and currencies, and it comes with marketplace integrations. Product information is entered once and transferred in the right format to channels including Amazon. Details: IMFLEXI marketplace integration.
How do we work?
- Analysis: We review which Amazon stores you sell in, which fulfillment model you use and your ERP setup.
- Mapping: Product identifiers, SKU-to-ERP stock code matches, pricing and exchange rate rules and your tax approach are put in writing.
- Test: A trial is run with a limited product group.
- Go-live: Stores are switched on one at a time.
- Monitoring: Every request is logged and queued within Amazon's rate limits; a failed operation is retried, and if it still fails an alert goes out.
What to prepare before we start
- The Amazon stores you sell in or plan to open
- Your fulfillment model: from your own warehouse or through Amazon's logistics?
- Barcode and brand information for your products
- Your exchange rate and channel rule for international pricing
- Contact details of your financial advisor who knows your export invoicing process
With this information we plan which store opens first and the order of the flows.
Security and KVKK
Amazon access runs through an application authorized in your seller account, with only the permissions it needs; keys are kept in a restricted configuration. Amazon is a global service, so buyer and order data may be processed outside Türkiye. We make sure this is described correctly in your privacy notice and handle the cross-border transfer assessment under KVKK (Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law) at no extra charge. For background, see the article KVKK and cross-border data transfer.

Frequently asked questions
Can Amazon.com.tr and international stores be managed with the same integration?
Yes. Each store is defined separately; stock is fed from a shared source, while price and currency are set per store.
We use Amazon's logistics. Do we still need an integration?
Yes, but its role changes: instead of sending stock, it reflects the stock and sales on Amazon in your ERP and reports.
Do you help us open our Amazon account?
Account opening and Amazon's seller verification are carried out in your name; we guide you on what information needs to be prepared along the way.
How are foreign currency prices updated?
The price in the ERP is calculated using the exchange rate source and channel rule you choose, then sent to Amazon.
