The need — bring two sites under one roof
The company's products were split across two separate WordPress sites. Visitors couldn't tell which product was on which site, and the company had to maintain the content of both separately. Both sites also had search visibility built up over the years, which we could not afford to lose in the merge.
Our goals were to gather the products into a single catalog structure, show the engineering side of the hardware visually, reach buyers abroad in their own language, and carry the traffic from the old addresses over to the new site without losing it.
What's on the site?
- Home page: an intro under the headline "The Engineering of Motion" that walks through the Giesse tilt & turn series step by step (closed, tilt, sash open) with a 3D window animation; product groups, brands and a technical support call to action.
- Product groups: tilt & turn, sliding and lift-and-slide systems, facade systems and automation, locks and keepers, hinges, handles, door hardware, profiles, EPDM gaskets, stainless steel rails and insulation; a separate page for every group and every product.
- Brands: a separate page for each brand with its products.
- Technical documents: a download hub that collects catalogs, specifications and installation documents in one place, filterable by type.
- Contact: a request form with a subject choice (project support, quote, sample, technical question).
- Six languages: Turkish, English, Russian, German, French and Arabic; Arabic pages use a right-to-left layout.
Key solutions
Two sites, one address, SEO preserved
We listed the addresses of every page on the two old sites and linked each one to its counterpart on the new site with a permanent (301) redirect. Old search results and links from other websites kept working, and the old domain now points to the new site. The merge was completed without the visibility loss that comes with launching a site from scratch.
Reaching abroad in the buyer's language
Every page's six language versions are linked with hreflang tags; the sitemap lists 714 URLs (September 2026). A buyer searching in Russian, German, French or Arabic finds the product on a page in their own language. An export sale from abroad came in during the site's first month; the company received payment and shipped the product.
A site that shows the hardware
A tilt & turn mechanism is hard to explain in words. The 3D window on the home page moves from locked to tilt to sash open as you scroll, showing what the hardware does at a glance. Product cards highlight technical values such as load capacity and profile compatibility.
Ready for advertising
The site was built with Consent Mode, which ties Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement to cookie consent; no measurement cookies are set until the visitor agrees. With organic visibility in place, the next step is a Google Ads campaign.

What we learned from this project
- A merge starts with a redirect plan. A new site launched without mapping the old addresses can lose years of visibility overnight.
- An exporter's website should speak the buyer's language. Six languages and a correct
hreflangsetup brought a sale from abroad in the site's first month. - Mechanical products are understood through motion. Showing tilt & turn hardware in 3D explains it faster than a long technical text.

Do Google rankings disappear when two sites are merged?
Not if it's done right. We link each old page to its counterpart on the new site with a permanent (301) redirect; that's what we did for Stella AKS.
How many languages is the site in?
Six: Turkish, English, Russian, German, French and Arabic. Arabic pages use a right-to-left layout.
Can you move our WordPress site to a custom design?
Yes. We extract the content and URL structure, move it to the new design and redirect the old links to preserve search visibility.
