What is the Garanti BBVA virtual POS?
Garanti BBVA is one of Türkiye's largest private banks. The virtual POS (payment gateway) it offers its merchants lets you accept credit and debit card payments on your website. The contract is made directly with the bank rather than through a payment institution, and collections go into your bank account. Installment options tied to the bank's card program can be offered to your customers within the terms of your contract; installments are a very common way to pay by card in Türkiye.
A bank virtual POS is usually chosen by businesses that have reached a certain volume and want a direct relationship with their bank. A Garanti BBVA virtual POS integration connects the payment flow to your site and systems according to the technical documentation the bank provides to its merchants.
With a bank virtual POS, the process matters as much as the technical setup: the bank's pre-launch checks, the information that must appear on the payment page (distance sales agreement, return terms, contact details) and the site's security settings. We list these requirements up front and prepare your site in advance so the approval process does not drag on needlessly.
What do we connect?
| Data | Direction | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Payment request and 3D Secure redirect | Site → bank | At the time of payment |
| Verification and payment result | Bank → site | At the time of payment |
| Installment options | Site rules → payment screen | At the time of payment |
| Collection record | Site → ERP | When the payment is approved |
| Voids and refunds | Panel → bank → ERP | When the transaction is made |
| End of day / account transactions | Bank → reconciliation | Daily |
Typical scenarios
- More than one virtual POS: If you also use other banks' virtual POS services alongside Garanti BBVA, rules decide which POS a payment goes through based on the card's issuing bank or the number of installments. See Yapı Kredi Posnet and VakıfBank Virtual POS.
- B2B collections: Dealers pay their account balances by card in the B2B dealer portal; the collection is posted to the right account in the ERP.
- Daily reconciliation: Transactions through the virtual POS are compared with orders and with the amounts credited to the bank account, and unmatched items are listed. To read account transactions automatically, see bank API integration.
Bank virtual POS with IMFLEXI
Our IMFLEXI e-commerce platform has ready-made connections for bank virtual POS services and payment institutions; you can use several POS services together with rules. Details: IMFLEXI payments and shipping. We work the same way on other platforms too.
How do we work?
- Analysis: We discuss your contract type, installment needs, refund process and ERP. You handle communication with the bank; we prepare the technical details together.
- Mapping: Payment result codes, order statuses and accounting accounts are mapped.
- Test environment: Successful, declined and abandoned-at-3D-verification payments are tried in the bank's test environment.
- Go-live: After the bank's approval it is switched on with live credentials, and the first transactions are checked together.
- Monitoring: Every payment request and result is logged; a transaction with an unclear result is queried and completed, and errors trigger alerts.
What to prepare before we start
- The virtual POS contract signed with the bank and the merchant details the bank sent you
- The installment options in your contract
- Test environment details (if your bank provides them)
- Any other virtual POS services to be used alongside it
- Your refund policy and the ERP account for collections
If the information is ready, the longest part of the integration is usually the bank's go-live approval.
Security and KVKK
Our basic rule is that card details are never stored on your site. The payment screen and 3D Secure verification are built with the secure methods the bank provides; card data is not written to the database and is masked in logs. Merchant details and keys are kept in a restricted configuration, not in the code. The requirements of KVKK (Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law) are met in full, at no extra charge.

Frequently asked questions
Do you apply for the virtual POS for us?
The application and contract are directly between you and the bank. We guide you in preparing the technical details the integration needs and build the connection.
How are installment options determined?
Installments depend on your bank contract. We set which installments are shown on the site with rules based on your contract.
Can we use virtual POS services from several banks at the same time?
Yes. Rules such as the card's issuing bank, the number of installments or the amount can decide which POS a payment goes through.
Where do we process refunds?
Voids and refunds are made from your panel, sent to the bank and recorded in the ERP; you do not need to do anything separately in the bank's panel.
