What is Meta, and why does it matter in marketing?
Meta is the US-based technology company behind Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. Businesses run ads on these platforms through Meta's ad management tools. For the ad system to work well, Meta needs to know three things: what you sell (catalog), who does what (measurement) and what the incoming inquiries are (leads).
A Meta integration carries these three kinds of data correctly from your website, your e-commerce platform and your CRM to Meta, and when needed from Meta back into your systems.
In recent years, the privacy settings of browsers and mobile operating systems have made it harder for ad platforms to measure visitor behavior. As a result, measurement based only on code placed in the browser can miss part of your real sales. Correctly set-up server-side measurement and an up-to-date catalog help Meta ads target more accurately and keep your budget from going to waste.
What do we connect with Meta?
| Data | Direction | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Product catalog (product, price, stock, image) | Website / IMFLEXI → Meta catalog | Several times a day |
| Browser measurement (Meta Pixel) | Website → Meta | Real time (subject to consent) |
| Server-side measurement (Conversions API) | Server → Meta | Real time (subject to consent) |
| Lead ad form submissions | Meta → CRM / email | Real time |
| Offline sales results | CRM → Meta | Daily |
Typical scenarios
- Dynamic product ads: Products on your e-commerce site are sent to the Meta catalog several times a day; out-of-stock products are not shown in ads, and price changes are reflected in the ads.
- More accurate conversion tracking: Because of browser restrictions, the Pixel can't see some sales. With the Conversions API, sales data is also sent from the server, and the two sources are matched so nothing is counted twice. For the setup logic, see setting up conversion tracking.
- Leads reach sales without waiting: The details of someone who fills in a lead form on Instagram land in the CRM within minutes, and the sales rep gets a notification. The days of downloading forms to Excel the next day are over.
IMFLEXI and Meta
Because our IMFLEXI e-commerce platform keeps product data in one place, preparing a regular, clean feed for the Meta catalog is easy; variants, sale prices and stock status are transferred correctly.
How do we work?
- Analysis: We review your ad account, your Business Manager structure, your website's platform and your CRM, and decide together which events to measure.
- Mapping: Catalog fields, event names, value and currency, and lead form fields are mapped.
- Testing: Events and the catalog are checked with Meta's testing tools.
- Go-live: Measurement and the catalog are switched on, and in the first days the data is compared with your sales records.
- Monitoring: Catalog errors and missing events are checked regularly; if a lead transfer fails, a queue and an alert kick in.
What to prepare before we start
- Access to your Meta Business Manager and ad account
- Whether the Pixel is installed on your site, and your cookie consent tool
- The actions you want measured: sales, quote requests, calls
- Where lead forms should land: CRM, email or an admin panel
- If you sell online, your number of products and how sale prices are managed
With this information we put the measurement plan in writing and start the setup.
Security, cookie consent and KVKK
Measurement tools that send data to Meta should run according to the visitor's cookie choice; they do not activate for visitors who have not given consent. In server-side measurement, personal data is sent hashed (encrypted) in the format Meta expects and limited to what is necessary. Meta is a service headquartered abroad; this transfer should be assessed under KVKK (Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law) and explained in your privacy notice. Access keys are kept in a restricted configuration, not in the code. We handle this as part of KVKK compliance work at no extra charge.

Frequently asked questions
The Pixel is already installed. Do we also need the Conversions API?
In most cases it helps. Sales the Pixel can't see because of browser restrictions are sent from the server, so the ad system learns from more accurate data.
Are visitors who decline cookies measured?
No. Measurement tools work according to the visitor's choice; without consent, no data is sent.
Do lead forms land in our CRM automatically?
Yes. We set up real-time delivery to the CRM you use or, if you don't have one, to email and a simple panel.
How often is the catalog updated?
Usually several times a day. If prices and stock change often, we increase the frequency.
