Why is SEO hard in e-commerce?
SEO (search engine optimization) is the work of getting your site to rank high in search engines like Google. On e-commerce sites, the sheer number of pages makes it harder. There are thousands of products, hundreds of categories, filter combinations and campaign pages. Each one needs an original title, a description and a clean URL.
In most stores, product descriptions are copied from the manufacturer, image alt text is empty and meta descriptions are missing. The result: the search engine can't tell these pages apart and doesn't bring them forward.
What does the AI do?
The AI-assisted SEO tools live inside the IMFLEXI admin panel; you don't need a separate service.
- Product title and description suggestions: When you add a new product, a draft title, short summary and description are prepared from the product's attributes.
- Image alt text: Alt text for product images (the description read by visually impaired users and by search engines) is suggested automatically.
- Meta title and description: The title and description shown in search results are suggested within the right character limits.
- Image optimization: Images are resized and prepared to load quickly.
Every piece of text the AI produces is a suggestion. You check it, edit it and approve it before it goes live. Nobody knows your product better than you do.
Technical SEO foundation
Just as important as the AI is a platform that search engines find easy to work with. In IMFLEXI, these are built in:
- Automatic sitemap: Product, category, brand and content pages are added to the sitemap automatically; for large catalogs it is split into parts.
- Clean URLs: Readable URLs without Turkish special characters are generated for every product, category and content page.
- Redirect management: Permanent (301) redirects for pages whose URL has changed are set up from the panel, and you can see how often each one is used. This is the key to keeping your rankings, especially during a platform migration.
- robots.txt and indexing rules: Pages such as filters and the cart are kept out of the index where they don't belong.
- Structured data: Product information, including custom fields, is presented in a format search engines understand.
GEO: showing up in AI search
People now research products not only on Google but also in AI assistants. For these assistants to recommend you, your content has to be clear, structured and trustworthy. We call this GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). IMFLEXI's well-organized product data lays the groundwork; we handle the strategy side together in our SEO and GEO service.
Automations
Alongside SEO, the repetitive tasks of e-commerce also run automatically in the background: abandoned cart reminders, birthday emails, campaign and coupon expiry, stock alerts. These run as scheduled tasks; you only set the rules.
Frequently asked questions
Will the AI change our product descriptions on its own?
No. The AI only produces suggestions; no text goes live until you approve it.
Can we get bulk content suggestions for our existing products?
Yes. Products with missing or duplicate descriptions are listed, bulk suggestions are prepared for them and presented to you for approval one by one.
Can we leave the SEO work entirely to you?
Yes. Just as the tools are in your team's hands, you can also ask us to run the SEO strategy and content production.
